Final Year Project

Project Title

The Fault in Our *Stars* Parts

Description

My project is a research-based art project that discusses an important problem in Pakistan: the awareness and prevention of Thalassemia major, which is a chronic genetic blood disorder. In my project, I talk about the disease with commentary on the medical gaze, as Foucault discusses it, and discuss the emotional challenges faced by patients, especially in light of the socio-economic conditions of Pakistan. The project relies heavily on research and aims to shed light on all the emerging themes through paintings, stories, and a sculpture.
